Dubai — German audio company Sennheiser has launched its new Urbanite headphone range in the UAE, which define the “new sound of urban style”.
The new line from Wedemark, Hanover-headquartered Sennheiser – which includes the on-ear Urbanite and over-ear Urbanite XL – brings massive bass, ensuring excellent clarity throughout the entire frequency range and recreating the atmosphere experienced in clubs on the go.
“We continue to push the limits and boundaries of sound technologies,” Mig Cardamone, director of sales and marketing at Sennheiser Middle East, told the media event in Dubai late on Wednesday.
Launched under the tagline “Let your ears be loved”, the Urbanite range is designed for staying connected on the move, with integrated in-line remote control and microphone for taking calls and controlling music on mobile devices. It also has dedicated versions for Apple, Android or Windows devices.
“The UAE has a highly-sophisticated populace that demands nothing but the best. We are very pleased to launch our new Urbanite range here to meet the demands of an audience that knows what’s good and seek the best devices to pamper their ears,” Cardamone said.
Sennheiser, a bellwether in the audio space and a benchmark-setter with its iconic products – the HD 414, the world’s first open-back headphones; and the limited-edition, €10,000 Orpheus – offers even more durability and comfort with the Urbanite range; its durable aluminium sliders work with the super-soft ear pads to ensure that the listener is insulated from external noise.
Also present at the event was Vishesh Bhatia, chief executive officer of Jumbo Electronics, which is the exclusive distributor of Sennheiser products in the UAE.
The on-ear Urbanite and Urbanite XL are priced at Dh799 and Dh999, respectively. They also come with a two-year international warranty.alvin@khaleejtimes.com
