A car was totally gutted in Dubai after it caught fire around 5pm on Shaikh Rashid road near City Centre. The driver was able to escape from the car after it caught fire. Fire fighters from Karama and Rashidiya rushed to the site and put out the fire - preventing it from spreading to other cars. Police and rescue officials also rushed to the site. The accident caused a heavy traffic jam on the road until the police lifted the burnt car with a crane. The Dubai Police took to Twitter to inform motorists to be careful and avoid the heavy traffic jam Shaikh Rashid road.
