The Dubai Police has announced two fines for flouting traffic rules along the tram route.
Jumping the red light at the tramway intersection will attract a fine of Dh5,000, while pedestrians crossing from undesignated places along the tramway will be fined Dh1,000, the Dubai Police announced on its Facebook page.
These are in addition to the fines already in place, which are as follows:
1. Causing an accident leading to death: Up to Dh30,000 and withdrawal of driving licence for up to one year
2. Causing an accident leading to bodily injury: Up to Dh15,000 and withdrawal of driving licence for up to six months
