Eight new radars in Al Ain

The Department of Traffic and Patrols at the Abu Dhabi Police is set to install eight new radars at Al Ittihad Ring Road in Al Ain City today.

The move is part of the comprehensive traffic safety plan to install 57 new radars at the internal roads and highways in Al Ain. The radar detection speed at Al Ittihad road has been specified at 141kmph. This will help curb the traffic accidents that lead to deaths and serious injuries.

Director of the Traffic and Roads Safety Section at the department Colonel Khalifa Mohammed Al Khaili said the new radars will be installed in accordance with the traffic accidents and violations’ indicators to help reduce excessive speeds.
