Emirates NBD today announced its collaboration with Uber, a smartphone app changing the way the world moves, to offer Emirates NBD cardholders free rides during the holy month of Ramadan.
Emirates NBD cardholders will be privy to complimentary rides from Uber from 6pm to 9pm on the weekends (Thursday - Saturday) during the holy month. Additionally, new users registering on Uber's app with their Emirates NBD debit or credit cards will receive two extra free rides that will be valid across Ramadan.
Commenting on the announcement, Suvo Sarkar, Senior Executive Vice President & Group Head - Retail Banking and Wealth Management, Emirates NBD said: "We are very happy to offer our valued customers a token of appreciation in the spirit of Ramadan. Emirates NBD has always strived to offer rewards that complement the lifestyles of our customers and we see no better opportunity than to partner with one of the country's leading digital transportation apps to offer a highly convenient and widely popular service during the holy month. Emirates NBD and Uber have successfully collaborated in the past to add great value to the residents of the UAE and we are positive that this campaign will bring a lot of happiness to our customers."
"As consumers demand more from their personal technology applications, it is increasingly important for organisations to work together in order to provide more innovative offerings. Our partnership with Emirates NBD is a great example of how we can bring two industries together to offer even more convenience to consumers," said Christopher Free, Uber UAE GM.
