DUBAI: Thetechnical teamof the Roads and Transport Authoirty (RTA)is workingdouble time torectify the defect on the railandrestore the serviceof the Dubai Metroto normaloperation following a disruption along Jebel Ali-bound direction at the Jebel Ali, Danube and Energy stations Monday, 21 July, following a road accident in the area.

In a press statement, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) saidthat thedisruption of the Dubai Metro servicesjust occurredat the Jebel Ali, Danube and Energy Stations, while the metro service is fully operational in both directions in all other stations.

The RTA explained that the service disruption was due to a road accident between a truck andvehicle on the bridged intersection near Jebel Ali metro station that led to the falling of the truck tyre on the metro viaduct, which caused damages on the rail.

A shuttle bus and taxi services were provided by RTA between the affected stations to ensuresafe and smooth commutingof the riding public using the Dubai Metro.
