The Dubai Police have announced the winners of the white point system, which includes 378 UAE nationals. Major-General Mohammed Saif Al Zafin, Assistant Commander-in-Chief of the Dubai Police for Operations, said 622 people will be rewarded for their driving. Indians topped the list of expatriate drivers with 204 winners, Major-General Al Zafin said.

As per instructions of Lt-General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chief of Police and General Security in Dubai, the number of winners of the white point system will be raised to 700 in the next phase.

Prizes worth about Dh1.5 million, including a car, will be distributed to the winners.

Major-General Al Zafin said the police team which supervised the white point system focussed on the youth to encourage them. The number of winners aged between 18 to 25 reached 39, while those aged between 26 and 32 reached 274. The number of UAE women drivers reached 219.
