Accidents earlier today have caused congestion along the roads going towards Dubai. This together with certain closures on a few roads has added to the challenge that motorists face on a Sunday morning.
According to live traffic updates from Google, two accidents have occurred along the stretch of road from Jebel Ali going towards Green Community. The two accidents occurred on the ramps - one along Sheikh Zayed Road and one along Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Road - the former has already been cleared and traffic is easing up, but congestion is still in place.
On the other side of town, Sheikh Zayed Road going towards Downtown Dubai is experiencing a slowdown; 3rd Street is also experiencing the same conditions up until Dubai World Trade Centre.
Sharjah roads going to Dubai are heavily congested with no reported accidents that could further slow down movement.
