The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) recently hosted a team of the Dubai Government Excellence Programme (DGEP) to an induction lecture highlighting the procedure for the immediate implementation of the Fourth Generation of the Government Excellence System intended to uplift the government performance.
Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of RTA, reiterated the preparedness of RTA for the implementation of the fourth generation of government excellence system, enabling the ranking of the Dubai Government Number One worldwide, as intended by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
"We've learned from the UAE leadership that ambitions are limitless, the word impossible is not part of our calculations, and ambitions can best be achieved through concerted team efforts.
Shaikh Mohammed believes that core challenges over the next two decades will revolve around who can go farther in uplifting the performance level, and keeping abreast of successive developments in all fields.
Dr Ahmed Nusairat, Coordinator-General of the DGEP; Nasir Abu Shehab, acting CEO of RTA's Strategy and Corporate Governance Sector; and a number of senior officials from both sides attended the lecture. The DGEP team reviewed the objectives and the process of the immediate implementation of the Fourth Generation of Government Excellence System, which aims to improve the government performance based on innovative standards geared towards the implementation of the Dubai Plan 2021.
It focuses on the results achieved as they set the base for excellence in government performance and services under three key drivers namely, the realization of the vision, innovation, and enablers, in a way that achieves the highest rates of public satisfaction and happiness.
