The Dubai Roads and Transport authority on Tuesday launched 11 new bus routes, including 10 Metro feeder buses, and announced the improvement of 13 other routes starting April 15.
The move is intended to bring more happiness to public transport users in general and bus riders in particular. It also responds to the increasing demand for this service in Dubai.

Service frequency of 3 lines
"Changes will be made in the service frequency (headway) of the following routes through increasing the number of operating buses to meet customer needs. The service frequency of Route 7 will be reduced from 30 minutes to 20 minutes in all morning and evening peak times. The service frequency of Route 365 will be reduced from 10 minutes to 8 minutes during the morning peak times. The service frequency of Route 366 will also be reduced from 10 minutes to 8 minutes during the evening peak time. To avoid the lack of frequent service, Route 4 and Route F2 have been abolished. Areas covered by these two routes will be covered by the two new routes F4 and F6; which will be linked with the metro stations in the areas served by the new and abolished routes," revealed Al Ali.
"The broadening and improvement of the public bus network is a rapid response to the growing needs of public transport users and in line with the urbanization and the budding business activities in various sectors in Dubai and the UAE. Moreover, the RTA is also keen on bringing happiness to public bus riders through making public transport experience an enjoyable one," concluded the Director of Planning and Business Development.
