RTA to launch new bus route tomorrow

A new bus route will be introduced in Dubai, three routes scrapped and five others extended from June 1.

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) said the new route (43) would be from the Gold Souq Station to Dubai Festival City via Al Muraqqabat and Airport Tunnel, near Terminal 1.
Acting Director of Planning and Business Development at the agency Essa Al Hashimi said the buses on Route 43 would start from the Gold Souq Station and would reach Dubai Festival City via Al Muraqabat and Airport Terminal (1).

The other changes to the services include Route 4, which will now end at Dubai Festival City. Passengers can use Route 44 instead, while buses on Route 22 will pass through the Deira City Center Station towards Dubai Courts. Route 31 buses will not touch Al Ghubaiba Station and Route 8 buses can be used instead by commuters.
"Starting June 1, we will be extending five other lines - Route 44 to reach the Al Rashidiya Metro Station; Route F46 to reach Dubai Investment Park (2); Route 64A to pass through Dubai Festival City; Route 84 to pass through Tecom Residences Complex; and Route F21 to pass through Al Nahda (2)," Al Hashimi said.
The three routes which have been cancelled are: Route 48 (replaced by the new Route 43); Route F2 , which will be replaced by three existing lines 64A, 64 and 4, while Route F16 is to be replaced by Route F20.
