The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is giving away a Samsung Galaxy S3 phone to one lucky Nol card user per day, as part of a month-long campaign by the RTA to promote public transport in the emirate.

Speaking with Khaleej Times, Ahmed Mohammed Al Hammadi, acting CEO of the Public Transport Agency, said: “We want more people to use public transport in Dubai and this is one of the campaigns we have started to promote the use of public buses.”

Once a commuter uses a Nol card to board a bus, the system automatically qualifies the commuter for a draw using the unique number behind the Nol Card. A new winner is announced every day as commuters can check RTA’s Facebook and Twitter pages to find out if their card has won. The campaign runs until February 12.
