Ever wondered what causes most of the accidents here in Dubai? The Dubai Police has revealed the top reasons. Many accidents are reported in Dubai every day with thousands of motorists driving their way to work and not following the traffic rules.
To initiate awareness among the residents to stay careful on the roads, the Dubai Police shared the list of reasons behind most accidents. Drunk driving and sudden lane changing topped the causes of accidents in Dubai.

This is in accordance with a report uploaded on Dubai Police website last week. The stats from 2015 give a statistical breakdown behind the reckless accidents. A majority of accidents - 622 were reported while motorists went behind the wheel after being intoxicated with alcohol. It was closely followed by a sudden change of lane with 621 reported accidents.
If you drive on Dubai roads you know that most accidents are caused by drivers not leaving enough distance between vehicles. About 592 accidents were reported on Dubai roads for the same. It was followed by lack of judgment (296), Entering the street before making sure it is clear (1723), not staying in the lane (195), jumping the red light (140) and so on.
