Fujairah - "Water and foam were used in putting out the blaze"

Three parked cars were gutted in a fire that erupted at Al Heil suburb in the emirate of Fujairah.

On being informed about the blaze, the central operations room of the Fujairah Police dispatched civil defence firefighters to the site.
Police patrols, paramedics and rescue teams rushed to the scene as well.
Fujairah civil defence department sources said they were alerted about the fire in the wee hours of Saturday.
"The fire was reported at 2.55am at Al Heil suburb."
The firefighters cordoned off the site to prevent the flames from spreading to nearby cars and properties, they added.
"Water and foam were used in putting out the blaze which completely destroyed three cars."
More water was used to cool down the burnt cars and prevent them from catching fire again, they pointed out.
"No injuries were reported," they revealed. The fire file was referred to the bodies concerned for investigations to ascertain the reason behind the blaze.
The civil defence said that all vehicles should go through a regular check-up to make sure there is no leak, and fix the damaged parts in time.
"Fuel leakage and ill-maintenance of vehicles have been blamed for so many car fires in several places."
