Slow-moving traffic was reported on the roads of the UAE on Sunday morning, with heavy congestion on Sheikh Zayed Road.
An accident on E11 Sheikh Zayed Road led to major traffic congestion for commuters heading towards Dubai from Abu Dhabi near Noor Bank Metro Station. Motorists were caught in long queues, according to Google Maps data.
Congestion brought traffic to a crawl on the Dubai-Al Ain Road near International Academic City. Moderate traffic was also reported in Al Barsha, while elsewhere there were delays in Al Warqa and Al Awir.
Slow moving traffic was also reported today morning on Sheikh Zayed Road near Dubai Investments Park towards Abu Dhabi.
Meanwhile in Sharjah, back-to-back traffic was reported from Al Nahda and Al Wahda streets towards Dubai. Tailbacks were also reported on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road from Sharjah Industrial Area towards Dubai.
Motorists are urged to take alternate routes to avoid long delays.
