The Dubai Police have successfully produced a cutting-edge radar that can monitor road shoulder violation.
Major-General Khamis Mattar Al Mazeina, Commander-in-chief of Dubai Police, revealed that the radar's first prototype proved to be successful recording 134 violations on Emirates Road in two hours.
He also said that Dubai Police tend to install 20 radars on Emirates road to prevent hard shoulder violations.
He added that the new radars are highly accurate and are intended to catch violators of road safety, especially those who drive into hard shoulder areas.
Al Muzainah added that Dubai police are very keen to diversify the methods of monitoring the roads in the emirate to detect violations and save lives.
