You landed to Europe, seeking for an unknown pleasure, expecting something different and waiting for a breathtaking experiences to happen to you. You feel like you don't have enough time; there are a plenty of things to see, an uncountable number of places to visit and the infinite joy to experience. You are now wondering if it is possible.
First stop: Bratislava.
"If you want a fairy tale, your city is a fairy tale itself." These were the words of Hans Christian Andersen, the famous fairy tale writer, after he visited this city. His statue is the one of a many quirky street statues around Bratislava. Be careful when you are walking the streets in the old town (starý mesto), you can easily stumble on a fun surprise of a statue of a man looking out from a manhole.
His name is Chumil the Peeper, and after he lost his head twice in the car accidents, Slovakians decided to place a unique road sign next to him with inscription: man at work. Strange statues in Bratislava are endeavour of citizens to change perception of the city after the political change by investing the familiar with strangeness. But the charm of the city lies in its contrasts of the old and new; Bratislava Castle (Hrad) harking back to medieval times, over socialist era architecture, up to the UFO Observation Deck, where you can enjoy creative and imaginative food and get lost in a wonderful view of the old town.
Second stop: Vienna
Instead of taking a road trip to Vienna, choose to travel on the Danube River by hydrofoil, an amazing way between the cities with marvellous scenes on both sides of the river. You will arrive in the centre of Vienna, with a short walking distance from St. Stephen Cathedral via the Danube canal. Welcome to the city of the finest art and culture, city of breathtaking parks and gardens, a grandeur architecture and peaceful life. First lady of Europe!
Explore its wonderful boulevard, the Ringstrasse around the old city; stop by any Beisln (bistro pubs) to enjoy delicious brews and traditional food, or chill under the open sky in the Stadtpark, the Prater, the Rauthauspark, or in many small parks in the inner city areas, known by the Viennese as Beserlparks. Vienna's historical aura is augmented by great postmodern moments; classical music by amazing clubs and live rock and jazz places, monumental architecture by contemporary designs. As it was told, Vienna is a handsome, lively city, and will please you exceedingly.
Last, but not least, stop: Prague
When in Europe, you can't miss to travel by train, especially a train from Vienna's enormous Hauptbahnhof (main train station), which represents an exciting infrastructural design of this city. In a couple hours, you will find yourself in the historical capital of Bohemia. Prague will sweep you off your feet. Gothic architecture and old streets touched by postmodern, city of alchemists and poets, golems and mystics, city of black buildings and red roofs.
Corners are whispering the memories of magic and revolution, past life of the good and the other. Prague is bisected by the Vltava River and it's known for its Old Town Square (Staré Mesto) with picturesque baroque buildings, Gotic churches and the medieval Astronomical Clock (Orloj). To reach the Prague Castle (Prazský hrad) from Old Town, you have to cross incredible Charles Bridge (Karluv most), decorated with thirty, baroque style statues.
The moment you think you have seen everything, you will find yourself amused by the spectacle in the New Town (Nové Mesto) by the Vltava River. Dancing House is defying the baroque and gothic buildings, dancing Prague to the new era of its existence.
Still wondering? I doubt. Let Holiday Factory make you dance to the beauty of the Wonder 3 with its wonderful 3 options. No matter how many days you choose to stay, you will not regret, because it is the journey that matters and it always exceeds the time, turning the transience of the moment to eternity.
