A committee formed under the directives of The President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has adopted the names of 208 children of Emirati women who have met conditions for acquiring citizenship of the UAE.
The decision was taken as part of the Year of Giving initiative in the UAE, and to coincide with the holy month of Ramadan, likely to begin later this week.

The decision was taken as part of the Year of Giving initiative in the UAE, and to coincide with the holy month of Ramadan, likely to begin later this week.
The decision of the committee came at the meeting the panel held at the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi on Monday with Ahmed Juma Al Zaabi, Deputy Minister of Presidential Affairs.
Al Zaabi underlined that the decision symbolized the vision of the President and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on the importance of absorbing the children of the Emirati women in the national fabric, and provide everything to make their happiness materialize, and guarantee their stability towards what deepens their love and loyalty and belonging to the country.
He pointed in this context to the concern and care of the President to the Emirati mothers and appreciation of the great role they have been playing towards achieving the development of the society.
Al Zaabi called on the beneficiaries for the UAE citizenship to live up to the expectation and responsibility, and abide by the principles, constitution and laws of the country, as well as contribute to exert much effort, dedication and sacrifice for maintaining the accomplishments and reciprocally return the favour to the country and its leadership.
