360° video: Reckless Russian couple climbs Dubai tower

Despite numerous warnings by authorities, reckless daredevils continue to flout the law in Dubai by illegally climbing skyscrapers around the city.
In a video posted on YouTube last week, a Russian couple is seen taking selfies and recording a 360-degee video atop a skyscraper along Dubai's Sheikh Zayed Road.
After the recent episode involving Russian model, Viki Odinctova, trespassing Dubai's Cayan Tower and dangling off the tower for a daring photograph, Dmitriy Chernysh scaled the Millennium Tower, located along Sheikh Zayed Road.
Accompanied by his girlfriend, certain parts of the video show Chernysh's partner sitting on a very small platform while he stands on one side.

They also moved to other areas of the skyscraper without any safety equipment.

Chernysh's Instagram page - which has 79,600 followers - also posted a photo of him and his partner on top of Cayan Tower - the same skyscraper that model Odinctova climbed a month back.
Apart from the 'twisted tower', his Instagram page also shows him atop other high-rises around Dubai.

Cayan Group strongly condemned Russian model Viki Odintcova and her assistants' daredevil stunt of hanging off the edge of the Cayan Tower roof without any restraints, or safety precautions.
Earlier, responding to the Russian model's dangling shoot atop Cayan Tower, property developer Cayan Group said that the stunt was carried out without the approval or permission of authorities at Cayan Group, and was in no way a reflection of the Group's commitments to art, creativity, and the human spirit.
''Although the Cayan Tower has been periodically used for extreme sports events, in all cases there has been safety, security, and emergency services on site. We have a process of selecting trained professionals skilled at their craft, especially these high-risk life-threatening events, and carry out a strict review of the safety measures and backup safety measures before approving the event," explained Gizel Daher, Director of Marketing & Communications.
An immediate legal action has been launched against the team. She was also summoned by Dubai Police.
Earlier in March, Dubai Police had also summoned a 25-year-old British YouTuber - James Kingston - after his video of scaling a crane in Dubai - at an under-construction skyscraper site - went viral.
His latest stunt involved climbing an under construction 50-storey high tower using a crane, while shooting a video of himself.
Kingston got a lot of flak for his stunt after he posted the video on his YouTube channel, with many viewers calling it suicidal.
A top official at the Criminal Investigation Department said that despite frequent warnings by the police and concerned authorities, the YouTuber continues to violate the law and putting his life and the lives of others in danger.
