More than 4,000 workers have been spread across the national capital to ensure cleaning and waste management services of roads during and after the National Day celebrations.
During the preparations for the 45th UAE N-Day celebrations, the Centre of Waste Management - Abu Dhabi (Tadweer), developed an action plan to mobilise its environmental operators and quick-response emergency teams to tidy up the official ceremonies' locations.
Given the high numbers of attendees at the celebrations, an additional number of workers have also been assigned to maintain the areas' cleanliness, through a double shift in swiping and containers replacement, in order to avoid waste accumulation. During a ceremony at its headquarters in the Capital, Tadweer also celebrated the 45th National Day.
Eisa Saif Al Qubaisi, General Manager at Tadweer said: "On this glorious day, it is our utmost honour to congratulate the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan; His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces; and Their Highnesses, Members of the Supreme Council, Rulers of the Emirates, and the people and residents of the United Arab Emirates.
"Tadweer's management and employees are committed to sustaining the development of a clean, viable and civilised environment, in line with our government's aspirations, embodying our vision in implementing our integrated future strategic plan," he added.
