Earlier this week, Apple opened shop at Dubai Mall and in a short span of time, many UAE residents have flocked to the store to get their 'Apple fix' - one that was usually confined to either the Mall of the Emirates or Yas Mall stores.

The Store has come into prominence for housing everything Apple across two floors! But here are five things that you may NOT know about Dubai Mall's Apple store:

Best view of Dubai Fountain

Apple surely knows what's hot in Dubai when they picked a locaon overlooking the Dubai Fountain. The balcony provides a great view of Dubai Fountain that is almost devoid of any crowds. Now you can take that photo of the fountain without an arm or head showing in the frame. However...

Entrance to the balcony is guarded

When we visited the Apple store, there are security guards guarding the entry to the balcony. This is to alleviate congestion in the balcony, especially when the fountain show starts.

Those metal gratings? Those are windows

Or so to speak, state-of-the-art solar windows. In the mornings, when it's warm, they close off so so that customers will not be disturbed by the heat. In the evening, the windows open up. They also make for cool backdrops for your latest Snapchat or Instagram post.

You can try out EVERYTHING

One of the many things we noticed during our visit are the number of customers trying out headphones, smartphones, Macs and other equipment for their devices. The Store prides itself in this up close and personal experience with their offerings - try before you buy, right?

The Apple Team will help you out

Since the store is quite large, the team is large and diverse as well. There will be certified Apple 'Genuises' at every corner of the store more than willing to speak to you in 45 different languages- from "How are you?" to "Kamusta ka?" to "Kaisay ho?".
