While many see the long weekend as a reason to escape the city - either head overseas or to a getaway nearby, many prefer staying indoors. In a poll on khaleejtimes.com on what residents were planning for the holidays, 80% of the responders said they were not keen on going out anywhere.
Many UAE residents opt to stay in the confines of their homes rather than going outdoors. But if you're still wondering whether you should go out, here are some reasons to convince you otherwise.

It's hot outside

Sure, it can still get cool during the night but the rest of the day is starting to become like summer. Why break a sweat when you can feel cool inside your air-conditioned room?

It will save you money

If you're indoors, you're pretty much relaxing and not spending money on food, or petrol or unnecessary shopping. The only expense you have to worry about is your DEWA bill which will still be cheaper compared to those extra expenses.

You need to rest

When you go out during the long weekend, you tire yourself out. Please don't party until you suddenly wake up and realize it's the end of the weekend. You'll feel lethargic and burnt out at work afterwards.

It's comfy inside

You've got food stocked; you're in your most comfortable apparel and no reason to get out of bed - that is pretty much living the dream right there!

Bring the party indoors

Why go outside and party when you can ask some friends to come over and enjoy their company? You also don't need to spend that much time thinking what you'll wear since it's going to be laidback.
