Five Arab youths sustained serious to moderate burn injuries after their car caught fire while they were sniffing lighter fluid inside the vehicle.
The youths, aged between 17 and 21 years, were sitting inside the car which was parked on the fifth floor of a building located in Al Majaz area 2 in Sharjah.
The police said that they received a call at the operations room, which dispatched a civil defence team to put out the fire. The injured were rushed to hospital where they are currently receiving treatment.
The Buhairah police station is investigating the case.
