99% of Ajman Civil Defence services now online

Ajman - The move also falls in line with the emirate's vision of creating a smart government.

Almost all the services offered by the Ajman Civil Defence are now accessed through its website and smart apps.
Within the first half of the year, the team was able to move 99.4 per cent of its services to electronic platforms, according to the latest performance indicator report issued by the civil defence's protection and safety department. These services include the issuance of various licences and approvals.
Brig Abdullaziz Al Shamsi, director-general of the Ajman Civil Defence, said that in the last couple of years, the entity had taken a 'huge leap' in terms of adopting the latest smart technologies.
In 2017, only 30.6 per cent of services were offered via e-platforms but, in the following year, the figure jumped to 91.4 per cent. Now, the emirate's civil defence services are less than one percentage point away from being 100 per cent digital.
First-Lt Mona Osman Al Nuaimi, director of customer service centre, said that by developing their website and smart apps, they were able to provide customers with easy, 24/7 access to their services.
The move also falls in line with the emirate's vision of creating a smart government.
She added that the department is determined to achieve the highest happiness and customer satisfaction ratings with its e-services.
"We are measuring these rates regularly, monitoring the implementation of the smart services and evaluating their impact constantly. We have been simplifying procedures to improve customers' experience," First-Lt Al Nuaimi said.
