The Emirate's transport authority has designed a strategy that will henceforth keep its customers 'very happy'.

The fourth edition of Customers Happiness Week, by the Road and Transport Authority (RTA) has been launched at the Dubai Mall. Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of RTA, opened the celebrations on Monday, February 15. The celebrations end on February 20.

Al Tayer also unveiled RTA's Happiness Strategy that is aligned with Dubai Strategic Plan 2021, which sets peoples happiness as key constituent.RTA's Happiness Strategy comprises 12 key pillars, six of them at the community level, and the other six at the individual level. The pillars are- learning through supporting initiatives encouraging reading, promoting knowledge and individual skills, adopting of governance, offering sponsorship, supporting Dubai economy, supporting initiatives contributing to thriving business and improved living standards, improving the environment for the benefit of upcoming generations, protecting the public health, maintaining the family fabric, enhancing customer relations, and caring for the community and communal relationships.

At the launch on Monday, Al Tayer inspected the stand of Customers Happiness Week's which features an innovative design replicating customers' experience with RTA's services. The stand has two entrances, the first for motorists to furnish them with the smart services and apps relating to their transactions, and the second is designated for public transport riders. Monitors displaying the main smart apps offered by the RTA to customers surround the stands.

"Visitors of RTA's Stand at Dubai Mall can acquaint themselves with all services and smart apps relating to motorists, means of submitting applications for services in this regard, and identifying the types and means of transport as well as smart apps and services relating to public transport. A corner has been set to explain the types, recharge and use of NOL cards in public transport means," said Al Tayer.

A driving simulator emulating the driving of vehicles under different climatic conditions has been set up.
