Come November, 40 art galleries from the Middle East, Europe, Asia and North America will converge on the Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi.
The Abu Dhabi Art (ADA) is all set for its seventh edition, which will take place from November 18 to 21. Dubbed as Abu Dhabi's "boutique art fair, the exhibition will showcase hundreds of modern and contemporary art works, as well as a full packed programme of art shows and events for the public.
"This seventh edition presents a strong series of initiatives that bring world-class art, performances and experiences to the heart of the emirate," said Mohammed Khalifa Al Mubarak, chairman of Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority, organiser of the fair.
Showcasing exceptional art-works from emerging artists along-side celebrated and iconic pieces by the world's foremost artists, galleries will continue to exhibit un-der the five established sections of the fair: Modern, Contemporary and Design Galleries; Signature, presenting emerging artists; Be-yond, dedicated to large-scale in-stallations, sculptures and site spe-cific commissions by selected artists; Bidaya, highlighting one emerging gallery; and Artists' Waves, an artist-led exhibition.
Part of the public programme this year is a panel discussion with Richard Armstrong, museum director of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foun-dation, Neil MacGregor, director of the British Museum and curators from the Louvre Museum.
One of ADA's highlights, Fabrice Bousteau's interactive art perfor-mances return this year under the title 'Abu Dhabi Art's Bliss,' inspired by the context and dynamism of the Abu Dhabi City.As always, entrance to ADA will be complimentary, but this year ADA organisers require pri-or online registration to avoid overcrowding.
