The Abu Dhabi City Municipality (ADM) has organised a recreational event with multiple festivities at Baniyas National Park.
The event reflects the keenness of the Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport (DMAT) to provide recreational options for residents, as part of its quest to consolidate social and health values of the community.
People's happiness is accorded top priority by the municipality as part of its community programmes and activities, which aims to ensure a healthy and sound environment, and enhance the communication with the community through such initiatives.
The Family Forum represents a social positive pattern that emulates the authenticity of the Emirati people and deep-rooted habits that cater to strengthening social relations between all com-munity segments.
The Family Forum also avails an opportunity to foster communication and disseminate awareness messages aimed at involving the community in establishing sound values as regards conserving environment, protecting parks and public facilities, and contributing positively to protecting pub-lic services. The three-day forum, which received residents from Baniyas, Al Wathba and other surrounding areas, witnessed huge public turn-out and a positive participation, especially from children.
This event was part of an ongoing series of recreational events held under the municipality's plan that includes several recreational and awareness activities through-out the year. The forum also included musical performances, police dog demonstrations, medical tests, popular recipes, handicrafts work-shops, educational workshops, various contests and henna corner, among other activities.
The municipality has mainly targeted children as part of its commitment to promote their sense of responsibility and commitment towards the community and environment.
