Hossein will share the prize money with five friends, all of whom will now become millionaires
Iranian expat Hossein Ahmad Hashemi was named the grand prize winner of Dh10 million in the raffle draw, Abu Dhabi Big Ticket announced. The expat won the prize in series 263 of the draw, held on June 3.
The Iranian, who has lived in Dubai for the past 20 years, purchased his winning ticket online after five years of participating in the Big Ticket raffle. Hossein decided to start buying raffle tickets after his friends informed him about Big Ticket and encouraged him to try his luck. He has been a dedicated participant ever since.

Hossein will share the prize money with five friends, all of whom will now become millionaires. When asked about his plans for the winnings, he mentioned that he and his friends will meet to decide whether to invest in a business venture or divide the prize among themselves.
Regarding his feelings about the win, Hossein said, "I am very, very happy for my winning." When asked for his advice to Big Ticket customers, he added, "My advice is to not give up, keep trying until you win. I have been buying for five years, and I never gave up."
Big Ticket resumed operations after a month, following a temporary pause in April. The pause was in compliance with the new directives of the Gaming Regulatory Authority in the UAE.
