Major-General Mohammed bin Al Awadi Al Menhali, Director-General of the Police Operations at the Abu Dhabi police, said that various police bodies have joined their efforts to maintain the safety and convenience of the public through the activities which consolidate and draw the community awareness to the negative phenomena that come up in the holy month. Al Menhali said that the police will be coordinating with the other bodies concerned for handing out Iftar meals to motorists and road users in time before the Iftar.
Al Menhali said that over the coming few days some awareness activities will be organised. To report about beggars or street peddlers, Al Menhali urged people to phone the emergency toll free 999 right away. He said the authorities are fully prepared to confront beggars.
