A special court to handle all labour cases and disputes up to the appeal stage will be established in Abu Dhabi, it was announced on Tuesday.
Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, issued a decree to this effect.
The labour court, which is intended to speed up adjudications, will handle labour cases, including those involving all disputes between employers and workers. Counselor Abdullah Fares Al Nuaimi has been appointed as the chairman of the new court.
