Abu Dhabi Traffic Police step up patrols on roads for Eid

Abu Dhabi - The police called on motorists to observe the traffic rules and avoid excessive speed on the roads.

The Department of Traffic and Patrols of Abu Dhabi Police has stepped up their presence on highways and internal roads, at prayer sites, abattoirs, parks and tourist areas in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.  
The move is part of their "Your Eid Safety" campaign, launched by the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters on the occasion of Eid Al Adha to provide safety for the community, be they Emiratis or expatriates, during the Eid Al Adha holiday.
Brigadier Khamis Ishaq Mohammed, Director of the Department, called on motorists to observe the traffic rules and avoid excessive speed on the roads, adding that the patrols will book offenders.
