Worried about costly dental services? This is not the case anymore with Ajman University (AU) Mobile Dental Clinics (MDC) which offer its free services nationwide.
The mobile dental clinic has offered quality diagnostic and treatment dental services to 1,546 indigent patients in five emirates over the last eight months, according to sources.
"The AU Mobile Dental Clinic, since its inception in October 2018 and up to May 2019, has paid 52 visits to targeted patients in the emirates of Dubai (6), Sharjah (3), Ajman (37), Umm Al Quwain (1) and Ras Al Khaimah (5)," added sources.
Dental students and faculty at the AU College of Dentistry offer their free yet quality dental services to eligible patients in all emirates nationwide, they added.
"However, the clinic is giving more attention to elderly and determined people, along with schools students and residents of remote areas, particularly in northern emirates."
The clinic offers free treatment to more than 500 patients on a daily basis, they said.
"The two-unit clinic, fully equipped with the latest gadgets; spanning an X-ray machine and a sterilisation device, have been jointly funded by the Ajmani Charity Foundation and Human Appeal International."
