The temporary registration centre that has been operating in Al Taawun Mall will be shut down from today.

The EIDA has already notified customers with pre-appointments through SMSes to visit its new centre in Al Rahmania to complete the registration procedures such as fingerprinting and photographing.

The new centre will have eight registration counters for males, and six for females in the trial phase. The number of counters will be increased gradually depending on the number of customers before the centre is officially opened and fully operational. The new centre is located near Interchange No 6, next to the Directorate of Human Resources in Al Zeid Street. It is the largest Emirates ID registration centre in Sharjah.

The building has two floors and is designed to accommodate more than 26 registration lines (16 for males and 10 for females), capable of registering more than 2,600 people a day from 7am to 8.30pm. The centre also has the latest equipment and devices capable of providing superior facilities and services to customers, in addition to special arrangements for people with disabilities.
