The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi has received 347,895 worshippers in the first 10 days of the month of Ramadan.
Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is UAE's largest and most renowned mosque was ordered by the late president Sheikh Zayed Al Nahyan. He commissioned architects from all over the globe to design the mosque, which is inspired by Persian, Mughal, and Moorish mosque architecture.
Located in Abu Dhabi, the mosque took 11 years to complete and fittingly Sheikh Zayed's resting place is located on the grounds beside it.
To accommodate the large numbers of worshippers this Ramadan, the mosque's management has set up 12 air-conditioned tents on the premises- with each accommodating up to 1,500 people each night.
Recently this year, Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque was ranked the world's second favourite landmark in a list compiled by TripAdvisor.

The Abu Dhabi landmark beat iconic wonders such as the Taj Mahal and the Eiffel Tower being outranked only by the ancient Incan site of Machu Picchu in Peru.
The beautiful mosque is located at the entrance of Abu Dhabi and is noticeably visible from the bridges that connect this particular island to the mainland.
Over 14,000 visitors reviewed the mosque on TripAdvisor with some of the comments saying "Amazing. One of the new 7 wonders of the world," and "Grand is an understatement. The architecture, the white marble and the beautifully maintained green gardens are stunning."
