Today is the April 1, and to mark the day, many companies around UAE - shared 'strange' promotions on social media that is sure to tickle your funny bone. Creatively packaged, at first glance, some of the announcements and promotions seem 'real' - but a careful read reveals that they are hoaxes or fake news, to be taken with a pinch of salt.
Here are some great 'pranks' that UAE companies pulled on residents on April Fool's Day.

JadoPado.com's world's largest mall

Think Dubai Mall is becoming smaller now? Enter the JadoPado Mall. It will be a visa-free, free zone, and will be integrated into the world's soon-to-be largest airport, Al Maktoum International Airport, to provide travellers direct access to the mall without the need to enter the city of Dubai. With key learnings from the aviation industry, JadoPado is also developing the world's first conveyor system to pioneer the concept of store to boot.

Careem's 'green rains'

According to Careem, they will sponsor cloud seeding that will increase the amount of rainfall by releasing pure salt crystal, silver iodide, potassium iodide or dry ice into the air, which helps to change the processes within the cloud.
Residents and visitors alike will start to witness green coloured rain falling from the sky following Careem's commitment to supporting cloud seeding.

Pools, parks in Emirates planes

It seems that Emirates Airline is all set to launch another game changer, if we are to believe the Dubai-based airline.
One of the world's leading airlines just unveiled plans for the world's largest commercial aircraft - a triple-decker, 'APR001', featuring a swimming pool, games room, gym and a park too.
Taking to Twitter to make the big announcement late Friday night, Emirates tweeted some artist renditions of the plane.
