An Arab man was killed in a traffic accident in Dubai's Ras Al Khor area on Saturday morning.
According to an official with the Dubai Police, the deceased crashed his speeding car into a pick-up vehicle parked on the roadside after a tyre burst.
Brigadier Sayed Hamed bin Suleiman, director of the Rashidiya police station, said the accident was reported at 9.30am.
The deceased was driving his car on the left lane and lost control over his vehicle. He died on the spot because of severe injuries and bleeding. A rescue team used hydraulic cutters to take the body out from the car. Brigadier Sayed Hamed bin Suleiman said the causes of the accident were speeding and not paying attention on the road.
