A 34-year-old Arab man died on the spot, while a 45-year-old Asian received moderate injuries in a road accident in Sharjah today.
A pick up collided with a motorbike on Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed road - from Dubai towards Sharjah.
The accident caused a massive traffic jam and slowed down traffic.
According to the traffic police, the Arab man, riding the motorbike, crashed into the pickup after the driver made a sudden stop in the middle of the road, causing the bike to crash due to lack of enough space between the vehicles.
The Arab died on the spot and his body had been shifted to Al Kuwaiti hospital, while the Asian man who received moderate injuries was rushed to emergency room for treatment.
Traffic police experts have launched an investigation into the case.
