Arab Unity maintains impressive results

DUBAI - The Arab Unity School has for the 10th consecutive year recorded cent per cent pass results in the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and A level examinations of the University of Cambridge, UK, declared recently.

A total of 186 students appeared for the IGCSE and 83 for the A and AS level examinations this year.

The top scorers among the girls in the science group include Akeela Parveen Careem and Madiha Aslam with 6A* and 2As respectively followed by Mahwish Raza with 4A* and 3As and Maithili Shroff with 3A* and 4As.


Among the boys in the science group, Syed Taha Abid with 3A* and 5As and Mohammed Mustafa Sayed with 3A* and 5As bagged the top positions, followed closely by Mejbahuddin Mia with 3A* and 4As, Ali Salem Barouti with 3A* and 4As, Gazi Naveed Ahmed with 3A* and 4As, Mohammed Sadiq Mistry with 2A* and 5As, Junaid Ali Sayed with 2A* and 5As.

In the Commerce group, the top rank among the girls was bagged by Sundus Ghulam Nabi with 3A* and 5As, followed by Sania Waqar Gul with 4A* and 3As and Sana Chowdhury with 3A* and 4As. Among the boys, group master Mufaddal Zoher K topped with 2A* and 6As.

Meanwhile, results achieved by the students in the A level examination this year has also been good with Mohammed Ali securing 3As in physics, maths and chemistry, Kazim Raza Nanji with 2As in physics and maths, Mohammed Asif Zahid with 2As in physics and maths and Wasim Rahman with 2As in physics and maths.

Among the girls, the toppers in the science stream include Noor Ahmed with 2As in biology and maths, Asma Reyaz with 2As in biology and chemistry, Amna Kamran with 2As in physics and maths and Noreen Allaudin with 2As in physics and maths.

In the commerce stream, Gayatri Jayanathan topped in Business Studies with an A grade, while Nabil A.Khilji and Omar Waleed topped in accounting securing A grade.
