A group of distinguished Arab youth will share their success stories at an event that will be held at the Higher Colleges of Technology (Men's College) in Dubai on October 20. The event will be organised by the Organising Committee of 'DardaChat Arabia' initiative.
The speakers include Mouna El Haimoud, the founder of the "Toys with Wings" initiative, which collects new and use toys to be re-distributed to children in refugee camps, orphanages and children's hospitals through the Middle East.
Another speaker, Mouath Abdullah Al Khalaf, winner of the ACM SIGNOST Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award 2015, will describe how he won the award despite significant health issues. Sarah Al Amiri, the project manager and science lead at the UAE Mars mission, and Ibrahim Al Qasim, project manager at Nayif-1, the UAE's first CubeSat mission, are also among the speakers who will give inspirational talks to students.
Al Amiri and Al Qasim will host a session highlighting the UAE's involvement in space exploration and the role Emirati youth are playing in the country's space efforts.
Through its interactive platform, the forum hopes to allow the young participants to share their ideas and experiences in overcoming challenging situations, focusing on aspects such as creativity, technological development, leading projects and humanitarian responsibility.
