We spend most of our waking hours in our offices. On an average, you might end up spending 90,000 hours of your life at work.
Considering that, don't we all want rewarding jobs and careers? 
We ran a poll on our website asking our readers - 'Are you satisfied in your current job?'. We must say, we aren't surprised by the results. 
60 per cent of our readers on the website (1,991 users) answered 'No' while 39 per cent (1,277 readers) replied with a 'Yes'.
How many times a week do we hear our colleagues and friend express their frustration of being in the wrong job profile or organization? 
If you think like 60 per cent of our readers who voted 'No' and are not sure if you are in the right job, this is for you. 

1. Excited to hit work

Hard to believe but there are few who set out to conquer their day every morning. Right from making a to-do list to running through the most important things in the day, they are born ready. Squeeze in some last-minute meetings in their daily calendar and they won't sweat bullets. 
Because if you love what you do, the excitement comes naturally. 

2. Love spending time at work

Your work colleagues are your friends and you enjoy the time spent around them. You respect your managers and your co-workers respect your personal time and commitments. 
When asked to work during ungodly hours, you are always ready. After all, you love to go to work! 

3. Excited about new projects

Racing against the clock each day, you are competing with each person to get ahead. Always on a lookout for the next big thing, you are the first one to grab a new project. Challenging yourself and taking risks is second skin to you. 

4. Company goals = your goals

You might be new in the organization but that doesn't stop you from aligning the company's goals to yours. Achieving a goal at work is your way of achieving your personal goals and you strive for it. Don't be surprised if you see the same faces in the 'Employee of the month' wall. 

5. You learn each day 

What keeps you excited at work is the learning you gather each day. Whether you are a fresh graduate or have spent three decades of your life in the office corridors, you are never too old to learn a new thing. 
If you have ticked the above pointers, maybe you can run through the rest of the list:
- The first working day of the week isn't as painful
- You don't mind taking work home after office hours because you love it. 
- Your work allows you to be yourself
- Your managers and co-workers respect your opinion with a room for discussion. 
- And most importantly, you are fairly compensated monetarily!
