Participation of residents is sought for the third Innovator Show, which will take place on March 3-4 on the Corniche-East Plaza in Abu Dhabi.
Abu Dhabi Technology Development Committee (TDC) urged the residents to join the show with their unique science projects and get connected with fellow enthusiasts.
The event is open to anyone interested in displaying their work, sharing ideas and networking.
"The Innovator Show is aimed at celebrating the growing innovation talent that exists in the UAE. Through the event, we aim to fuel collaboration and to challenge others to create and innovate," said Majid Al Mail, senior manager and head of the Innovator programme.
Participants can feature their projects from art and design to automotive, mechanics, digital fabrication, robotics and electronics to aerospace or sustainability and life sciences.
Interested individuals, interest groups, hobbyist or academic institution must sign up online at www.innovator.ae by February 20.
Apart from the show, the Innovator programme also includes the Innovator Space, an open-access facility in Al Zeina, Abu Dhabi, where amateurs as well as professional innovators, entrepreneurs and artists can access industrial grade equipment, training sessions and hands-on mentorship from experts to create projects out of metal, wood, plastics, electronics and textiles.
Participants who qualify will have free access to Innovator Space to refine innovations during February.
There will also be a "People's Choice Fund" voted for by attendees of the show. Recipients of each fund will be awarded Dh10,000 and will get support from the Innovator Space team. More details are available at www.innovator.ae.
