As part of the UAE National Environment Day activities, Bee'ah, the Middle East's leading integrated environmental and waste management company, organized a series of healthy and environmentally focused initiatives, encouraging blood donation awareness, and carpooling.
The blood drive campaign consolidated Bee'ah's efforts at paying back to the society, and aimed to educate people on the beneficial aspects of blood donation. The blood donation took place in a medical vehicle located conveniently in front of Bee'ah Head Office, where people were encouraged to donate blood in a healthy and safe environment.
On the same day, Bee'ah held an internal carpooling initiative, which saw hundreds of Bee'ah's employees organizing ride-shares to work. The company-wide initiative aimed at saving gas, reducing carbon dioxide emissions, and easing some of the heavily congested traffic areas.
At the same time, Bee'ah awarded carpoolers in a social media contest, where a variety of valuable gifts were given to winners, to bring energy and transportation issues into focus in a spirited, offbeat and rewarding way.
