Abu Dhabi Police has warned residents about the dangers of children playing with fire crackers during Eid Al Fitr.
Brigadier Salim Hammoud Al Baloushi, Director of Arms and Explosives Department in the Security and Ports Affairs Sector, urged all parents to be careful and monitor their children as fire crackers could cause serious injuries and fires besides air pollution.
The police launched a campaign to reduce fire crackers usage in 2018 under the name: "Don't ruin our joy," emphasizing that importing, exporting, manufacturing of fire crackers inside UAE is punishable by up to 6 months imprisonment and a fine of up to Dh10,000.
