The weather conditions are now forecast to improve at both New York JFK and Washington Dulles airports. Etihad Airways therefore expects its flights to and from both cities to operate as scheduled from January 24, however unexpected delays may still occur, the airline said in a statement.
Earlier on Friday, Etihad Airways had warned passengers that winter storm Jonas was causing "significant disruptions" from Abu Dhabi to the Northeastern Seaboard of the United States.
In a statement, Etihad had noted that flights between the 23rd and 25th of January are likely to experience significant delays. Among the flights listed are flights EY103, EY101 and from Abu Dhabi to New York, EY 100 AND EY102 from New York to Abu Dhabi.
Flights to and from Washington DC on January 23 were cancelled, and were expected to also experience severe delays on the 24 and 25.

Etihad Airways said it continued to assist its guests affected by the cancellations of its flights on January 23 with their travel arrangements.
