Ties between the UAE and India are poised for further growth as His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, started his three-day visit to India on Wednesday evening. His tour comes on the heels of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's fruitful visit to the UAE in August 2015.

Mohammed bin Zayed rings the closing bell at Bombay Stock Exchange at exactly 3:30 pm IST. On the occasion, a brief documentary on the history of BSE was presented to the UAE dignitaries. Delivering a vote of thanks, Harshavardhan Neotia, President of FICCI, said that while concerns about the Chinese slowdown and falling oil prices has affected the Indian stock market, there is a solace in the fact that the quantum of fall is much slower than other major emerging markets. With inflation under control and India doing well on the track of economic reforms, we expect the markets to stay attractive for investors".

Shaikh Mohmed bin Zayed called on Indian Vice President Hamid Ansari on Thursday, the second day of his three-day visit to India.

The crown prince and Ansari discussed friendly ties and cooperation between the UAE and India as well as ways to promote them in order to achieve common interests.

The meeting was held at the residence of the vice president on Maulana Azad Road here.

On Friday, he will leave for Mumbai where he will visit the Bombay Stock Exchange and meet Indian business leaders.
