Boy drowns in wadi

HATTA - A nine-year-old child died last Sunday evening when he drowned in Wadi Al Majara in Hatta which had been flooded by heavy rain last week.

Units for the Hatta fire station of Dubai Civil Defence rushed to the place of the accident and together with Dubai Police personnel managed to take the child out the flooded wadi and took him to Hatta Medical Clinic where he was pronounced dead.

Yesterday morning, units from Hatta Fire Station responded to a report about a fire which had broken out in a car in Rawdha area in the Sultanate of Oman.
