The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) raised close to Dh25 million after 80 special licence plates went under the hammer on Saturday. According to the authority, plate number R-111 fetched Dh2.65 million, while F-999 went for Dh1.06 million.
License number M-7777 was sold for Dh800,00, while N-1000 went for Dh800,000.
Ahmed Bahrozyan, CEO of RTA's licensing agency, said: "The Dh24.8 million revenue raised from the 96th open auction reflects the remarkable popularity of such commercial activity organised by the RTA."
