Students across the UAE who attempted the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Board Grade 12 exams in March/April, have reported a 100 per cent pass result.
Yet again, girl students have outperformed boys to come on top in the science, humanities and commerce streams. Official sources from the CBSE revealed that a total of 8,000 students from across 31 schools appeared for the exams in the UAE. The results were announced on Saturday, May 21.
Top performing students in all the three streams are from- The Indian High School, Dubai, Delhi Private School, Dubai, Our Own English High School, Dubai and Sharjah and Abu Dhabi Indian High School, Abu Dhabi. Toppers in the Science stream are- Pankti Rajesh Shah from the Indian High School (IHS) Dubai. She secured a whooping 490/500 marks and has scored 98 per cent.

However, the top student in the commerce stream is Rutvi Bhavin Mithani, from Our Own English High School, with 96.6 per cent. She was followed by Ameera Zaheer from Indian High School who scored a 97.2 per cent in the Humanities Stream.
Ashok Kumar, CEO of IHS said: "It is the combined effort of our students and parents and the tireless efforts of our teachers that have made this possible."
Despite the Mathematics paper being really difficult, many students have done exceedingly well as well. Pankti has scored 98 marks out of 100 in Mathematics. Asma Gilani, Principal of Our Own English High School Sharjah said: "Our students have exceeded our expectations. Despite the papers being really difficult, they have performed excellently well and I am really proud of what they have achieved."
Some of the top performers in Science stream are- Pankti Rajesh Shah, The Indian High School, Dubai with 98 per cent, Harsh Goel, Delhi Private School, Dubai with 97.8 per cent, and Rushali Grandhie Siva Prasad Rao, Abu Dhabi Indian High School Abu Dhabi - 97.6 per cent.
Top performers in Commerce are- Rutvi Bhavin Mithani, Our Own English High School with 96.8 per cent.
