Dubai - Logo of UAE Innovation Week unveiled; over 500 events planned.

The logo of the UAE Innovation Week which will be held from November 22 to 28 - was unveiled at the second meeting of its Supreme Committee.
More than 500 events, including advertisements, awards, initiatives, laboratories of innovation, workshops, competitions, conferences and other events, will be held during the week to celebrate the innovations and innovators in the UAE, and encourage innovation culture as a defining element in the UAE society.
The committee proposed distribution of the events across mornings and evenings on all days of the week to ensure active participation from the largest segment of people. It also called for the launch of the initiatives and public events in all the emirates and cities of the UAE, and stressed the importance of media support in highlighting innovation in the UAE.
The Supreme Committee meeting was attended by Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs; Abdulla Al Shaibani, Secretary-General of the Executive Council of Dubai; Saeed Saif Al Matrooshi, Secretary General of the Executive Council of Ajman; Nasser Saeed Al Tallai, Director of the Emiri Diwan of Umm Al Quwain; Dr Khalid Al Midfa, Director-General of Sharjah Media Corporation; Ohood Al Roumi, Director-General of the Prime Minister's Office; and Huda Al Hashemi, Executive Director of Mohammed Bin Rashid Centre for Government Innovation; as well as local committee members of the UAE Innovation week.
