He further explained, "This campaign is designed to raise awareness on the need for healthy blood in emergencies. Since the shelf life of blood is only 42 days, we highly encourage people to donate blood on a regular basis" he concluded by adding "We thank Sharjah Blood Transfusion & Research Center for extending their support during the drive and we assure them of our regular contribution through similar campaigns"
